What we designed and built

The client needed a highly durable and watertight special container that could still be transported in the same way as a standard CSC/ISO shipping container. A 40ft High Cube Open Top container was selected as the base. The container was modified and fitted with an integrated water basin designed for the project’s specific operational requirements.

The project included the structural design and strength calculations required for the modified container. These calculations guided both the container modifications and the construction of the watertight basin. The completed structure combines the capacity of a 40ft High Cube container with the open access provided by an Open Top design.

Testing and transportability

After the structural modifications and basin construction were completed, the container was retested. A CSC approval inspection was also carried out to verify its suitability for standard container transport.

This allows the specialised unit to be transported by sea using established CSC/ISO container-handling systems.
